Take a look at Magnex / Miltek / Supersprint - they all get a good name.

Hmmmmm...reports are that the Supersprint is real quiet. Whilst I don't want something that sounds too Max Power I would like a change from the stock sound. I know Supersprint make Hamann exhaust and Remus make the ACS exhaust, both from research I've done appear to be on the quiet side. What about Tri Flow, Rogue Engineering, Eisenmann ?

If its noise you want then look at possibly Scorpion.

As for experience, I'm attempting to fit a CAT-back rear section Supersprint to my M3 this afternoon.

I ran a Miltek on my old Puma. I was very please as it was fairly loud / sporty under hard acceleration, but restrained on constant throttle - so motorway driving remained no noiser than with the OEM exhaust.

I thought Tri Flow and Rogue were US based suppliers which would make them relatively dear in the UK? If cost isn't putting you off, then take a look at UUC System U exhausts... they'll be pricey here, but having dealt with UUC, I'm very impressed with them as a retailer and they have a UK importer - http://www.motormec.co.uk/">http://www.motormec.co.uk/.

Thanks Webdunk

I actually mailed motormec a few weeks ago about the UUC TSEII and underdrive pulleys....no reply

You could try dealing direct with UUC in the states - I found them very helpful over eMail. Sure they'll give Motormec a kick for you ;-) Although I do recall Motormec being quite good at eMail responses - they just took a couple of days longer than you might expect due to their IT setup...

I'd love the TSE for my car, but can't scrabble together the pennies yet :-(

Well I've just mailed motormec again, we'll see. I've spoken to Rob Levinson (owner UUC) many times on the E46 Fanatics forum, he's a forum sponsor and regular poster, handy if you want to glean any technical information. All of the development work was done obviously on lhd cars, last time I asked him he wasnt sure if there would be any fitment issues with rhd. I'm guessing there would be no difference whatsoever but knowing Rob unless he can be 100% sure he won't say it'll fit.

Check out the Eisenmann too http://www.eisenhaus.com/">http://www.eisenhaus.com/ that thing is amazing. The titanium quad for the M3 is gorgeous.

I've checked prices of other UUC stuff at motormec and isnt it funny that we seem to have to pay the same amount in pounds as they pay in dollars. Thats some weird currency conversion or just plain rip off even when allowing for the cost of shipping.

@ Stone-IslandM3.....how did the exhaust DIY go mate ?

By the way....what models are you guys driving ?

I think the problem is one of tax on import... rounding to the nearest pound, let's take a $100 part. Call that £60, add £10 shipping to the UK and then add VAT to give £83. Now throw operating costs, profit and internal UK postage into the mix and I can see how the £/$ prices end up very close :-(

For the smaller parts I find it can be worth waiting a bit and getting a mate to bring back a 'gift' for you :-)

Motormec says the UUCII won't fit a European BMW because the cat arrangement is different on our cars compared to US cars . Looks like I might have to investigate Supersprint .
