when ever i lock my doors either by the remote or manualy the pins pop back up immediately. to rectify this i have to lock the doors again which seams to reset the system which in turn allows me to lock the doors. has anyone else had a similar problem, this is doing my head in please help.

I had this on my E34.

On mine it turned out to be a blown fuse, in my case housed under the rear seat, there are two seperate feeds to the locking on the E34.

The other reasons I know of are :

one solanoid being slow to operate

broken wires in the loom to the boot ( where it flexes)

Hope that helps
