Hi guys, new member here.

Soon I will be coming into a bit of cash, asbout 13000 euro. Im looking to buy a m3 from britain, 80's model e30. The problem is at the moment I am only a named driver on somebody elses policy. I am 25 but have never had a policy in my own name.

Do ye think there is any chance I could get even a quote off anybody in Ireland for this car ?? Or would I be better getting the policy holder I am currently named under to try (my father).

At the moment in my 1990 e30 we pay E1400 which isnt too bad.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am sure Eamo can offer more advice but my advice when it comes to insurance is to get out the golden pages and ring every number (broker and companies direct) as the difference between prices can be huge.
They may all laugh at you but you never know!
Obviously get a few quotes before you get the car!
