Hi peeps, haven't been on here for quite some time now. Was wondering if any of you know what has become of the excellent ClubE31.com, the website owned by some French guy called Phillipe I believe?
Phil C, if you are still active in the 8 series world maybe you can help answer this?

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!

C'mon folks, what's the big secret??? What happened to this website and why? Aussie 840, you were on there as well, I remember.

Hi John, its had a chequered and troubled last couple of years, the original version is currently available at http://www.clube31.net/ - http://www.clube31.net/ . The .com version is being redeveloped (I think, but I'm not sure by some other enthusiasts who wish to see it continue) and may be back online later in 2006.

Lately I've tended to steer clear of the site and the yankee roadkill site as it draws to many nuff nuffs.

Cheers Skip

aussie 840, thanks a million, I can breathe a sigh of relief again. That website has proved invaluable over the last 3 years that I have owned the 850Ci, also I have contributed and helped others wherever possible.
Have just fitted Yoko's like yours to the rear, what mileage do you expect to get from them? I was very disappointed with the high wear rate of the Goodyear Eagle F1's which I had previously; they only managed about 7K even though I drive sensibly.
What do you mean by the terms 'yankee roadkill' and 'nuff nuffs'??

Best regards,

John.

G'Day John,  I love the Yoki's. I'm not sure what km's to expect from them as they are my first set but I will be sticking with them that's for sure.  I tend to get an alignment done every 6 months (by the way not too many mechanics know how to do an alignment properly on an 8). The small amount of money to do this is worth it to keep the tyres in good nick.

Sorry, yankee roadkill site I meant roadfly.org car site, and nuff nuff is a nutter.

Cheers Skip (Ian)
