Hi Guys

Dont know if you can help here , I test drove a 1998 323i with the full M TEC kit on it,

When driving this car i found when you hit a pot hole or a drain cover the car seemed to dive to the left , its a bit like a dodgy rear shock absorber but they seem ok.

Just wondered if this was a standard thing or whether the car has a problem.

Your comments would be welcomed

Thanks

Paul

welcome paul!
should be in 3 series tech forum, but never mind!
not a common fault i know of - i would suspect geometry settings, or a broken/soft spring perhaps, assuming it wasn't just the camber of the road you were on?

If it was one of the last E36s then could be wear on the lower ball joint. Was there any wheel wobble at speed?
