What format does CD changer play?

Does the standard CD changers that come with BMW's (specifcally after 2003) play CD-R and CD-RW discs?

I am collecting my car tomorrow and want to take some CD's to play on the way home.

Certainly plays CD-Rs.  Not sure about CR-RWs though.

I've tried it and they dont play CD-RW's only CD-R's
