Just spent the past 10 days in the UK (London & Blackpool) and I was pleasantly surprised at the number of 8's I passed. On the journey from London to Blackpool alone I must have passed 5 of them. Shame I was in a Fiesta...flashing my lights at them didn't have the desired effect!

Also did anyone see Monday's "Rogue Traders" on BBC1? This week it was about a bloke running a dodgy kitchen-fitting business, ripping people off, etc. Cue presenter in carpark pointing out the sort of flash motor such a crook can afford....an 840! LOL!

...perhaps thats why Robert DeNiro always drive an 8 as a bad guy in his films!

I've clocked up a few miles this last week around the North of England and Wales. Haven't seen one other 8.
. Is it me or does it run alot better in the sun!!!
Saw a v.nice V8 Lotus Esprit though who responded in kind when I admired his car.

As for rogue traders.... LOL

De Niro's 8 was a peach. One for the 8ers worldwide.

...and don't forget the 8 in the new release of the Italian Job. I guess Holywood doesn't want any of the new ugly BMW designs in their movies.

I have decided I want an Aston Martin DB7 GT too. Off to by lotto ticket.

Ian

P.S. You wouldn't see Arthur Daley in an DB7

Got to agree with you. A Z8 was as far as hollywood went on new beemers. Must admit the new 5 with heads up display and all the fancy gadjets is growing on me but the Z4...... Suppose I'd have to drive one.

Lots of Z4s here in Germany...not sure whether I like it or not. It looks a bit slab-sided to me, but OK from directly front/rear view. I used to have a Z3 and loved that (not the best-regarded BMW, I know, but I liked it!). Prices of the Z3 are dropping now the Z4 has arrived so maybe a visit to my local dealer is in order

Z4 looks still not sold me yet. The Z3 had some bad press but I think the M versions look superb!!!
