Do I have the makings of a delinquent in my family ???!!!
While playing in hte garage my 5 year decided to sand the bonnet of my car.
On talking to him he realy could not see any problem about it. Thought it looked fine, even better.

Seriousely,,,Have I any chance in fixing this with out total re-spray. I have tried "T-Cut" etc to no avail.

Looks like a respray to me Ian. Get him a paper round so that he can pay for it!!

Or sell one of his kidneys to cover the cost of a full respray??

General rule of thumb I use to see if a scratch will polish out is to lick your finger and moisten the scratch with it - if the scratch is still visible its needs to be sprayed.

You could try some cutting paste to bring it back, but even if that does the job it will leave you with even less paint than you have now!

I suppose after five years you've grown kind of attached to him so a trade in wouldn't be allowed

Fostering for medical trials a bit harsh though, I'd keep him and then make him suffer when he gets his first girlfriend or car.... this approach to phsycological abuse is probably why I am not nor ever will be a parent

Members here have some serious issues with children!!

I had a valet guy out a few weeks ago who polished out some scratches with a polisher (looked like an angle-grinder with a pad on it). Mind you, they were only light scratches from roadside briars. He might be able to help you though. His number is 086 332 7865 or have a look at www.autovaletplus.ie
