The engineer who cares for my 525e(s) never makes any money because has too many customers lke me.  So I do the odd job to ease his admin. load.  He runs a seven series which needs a rear offside indicator lens, second-hand but good.  Any ideas?  Having had a ride in his 7 the other day, I am inclined to part with one of the 525e s and get a 7.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=6582&mospid=47177&btnr=63_0179&hg=63&fg=20 - rear light part numbers I think (1984 728i) - a dealer would quote you on this.
There may be some on ebay.
Euro Car Parts list them but don't have them in stock - maybe worth a call!
Try http://www.fabdirect.com - www.fabdirect.com also

No it isn't.

Had a similar thread to this about whether the E30 2-door was a coupe (BMW say it wasn't).

A coupe is based on a 4 seater saloon with a "cut-down" rear seat. Originally had a shortened wheelbase but not always. See a Merc S-Class & SEC for a good example.

Sorry, ignorance in this area duly acknowledged.  But I do still want a good, second-hand lens.

I am covered in embarassment. What I meant to say, is a 6 series - 1985 6CSI.  We 525e anoraks are not familiar with such exotica. I will post my original mail in the right place. Apologies to all I have bemused.

Ah... Nothing wrong with that.

I was just thinking there might be some rare old car out there that I might like. Sounded yummy. and to be fair, a well kept 635CSI would be a scrummy ride to have now as a highdays and holidays car. I think I would favour an 840CI though now. If I had to have a BMW coupe of yesteryear.

Just make sure your man is not selling a BMW M1. THat would be worth snatching his hand off for!!!
