Wont bore you with the Non BMW Pics Apart from first pic

I visited THe BMW Pavilion where you can walk around and look at some displays and also have a beer with staff.

Downstairs they had a X3 With a difference. There were also racing machines and loads of videos to watch. They hold customer days/nights here also with music etc:

Car Made of plastic

Run Flat Tyre

Xdrive

Also on the Thursday i had a visit to the BMW Museum.Although the museum is closed for refurb (Round BMW Bowl) there is a temp museum at the Tower. It was not that great, but had some stunning older models

The Propeler

2002 Getting Restored

Mint Example outside of a e30

On The Thursday night i had my visit to the Factory. You were not allowed to take pics in there,so took a few from outside and up on the tower. The factory tour was superb.Amazing to see the cars being build from scratch thru to getting detailed.Could not believe they make 800 cars a day there. And you know what suprised me the most?

They have a beer vending machine and the workers are allowed to have a beer on there break.

Apparantly in Munich 1 Beer is Not a Beer

Needless to say with there working conditions they have there is a huge demand for a job there

You should have tried to arrange a visit around BMW Mobile Tradition - highly recommended - there are some amazing cars there - including all the old race cars that BMW have campigned over the years

well i have had a great 3 day bmw break here in munich.seen loads of intresting things at the factory etc.

The only thing that let the break down is the arrogant germans. They are not friendly one bit.Never mind they make dam good cars. And have the most amazing transport system. This country are years behind

have loads of pics to upload when i get back,if i get back tomorrow with all the snow.

Look forward to seeing the photos chief.

The Club do orginize Trips, but i believe you have to put your name down well in advance, but last year if you got the mag you would of seen how great it is.They went for a round 2 weeks and visit everwhere,Like Hartge Etc etc.

Think the next one is 2007

My Trip cost me:

Flight to Munich From Aberdeen Via Heathrow with BMI £168

3 nights B&B at Hotel Ludwig across from Main station £111

All day travel tickets for entire network (Everything you will ever need) 32 euro

Musuem Tour 2 Euro

Factory Tour FOC

Tower Trip 4 Euro

Food/Drink and small gifts 160 Euro

So Total 4 day`s cost me approx £418

I guess you could get 2 weeks in the sun for that, but hey it is worth it and cant wait till 2007/2008 for the new Buildings to be complete as i will be going back, but this time for longer so i can visit more
