So myself and Phil held a mini meet on Saturday.  It was about the smallest possible number of people you can have and still call it a meet (i.e. 2 :)) ......M cars only   No just kidding Phil wanted to see the Eibach springs on the car.  We thought it would be unfair not to report back on this to the group so here are a few pics.  Phil's car is an absolutely stunning (and rare!) estoril blue.  I am envious of the bodywork......his previous owner kept the metal in far better condition than mine...it truly is spotless.  I think it could definitely benefit from some 19" wheels though.

As we drove to an undisclosed location I must say I really began to realise how utterly perfect in form the E46 M3 is, at least to my eyes.  The car looks fantastic and purposeful while moving and I do worry about the next iteration.  Because when I see the latest M-cars eg the M6, I have just realised that my awe of those cars is despite the styling.....its based on my knowledge of the V10 that lies underneath.....and I can live with the styling in that knowledge.  But even now, when it should be gettng long in the tooth, I still think the E46 M3 looks as fresh as ever.

Anyway here goes!

Great mick, they turned out well, see you can take interesting pictures, all you needed was some encouragement from me.  Lovely car mick, and a pleasure meeting you, thanks for the 1 hour of drooling and general M3 chat.  See you again soon.

Thanks.

Phil.

Phil

It was your directorial skillz that did it alright.  I am delighted with the last picture.  I think its desktopo wallpaper material.

Would you be interested in going to the M Cars Photoshoot in April in Portrush?

Would be great if we could get a few cars going from these parts.  Kin Mak and myself are confirmed so far from here.
