Can anyone help me I am after some performance figures for the E34 six speed 540i Sport i.e 0-60,0-100,30-70 and mpg.Got the chance of a 95 M for 6 grand with fbmwsh and 64,000 miles on the clock.Currently I run the auto and already getting bored with,miss changing gears for myself

I have an original BMW spec sheet that came with my 540iT and that quotes 0 - 60 for the manual Touring as 6.4 seconds. Officially BMW quoted the same for the saloon, but the proper US 540 Sport (which was basically an M5 with the M60 V8 in it, as the US never got the E34 M5) has been tested at 6.2 seconds to 60.

| With a lump like that in it, it will be the 0-100 which would see the biggest difference from the straight 6's. Unfortunately I have no figures, only the experience of being roasted by one from about 30mph while in my E34 525. That sounds like a machine, I'd have it! |
