Hi Guys,

I have recently replaced all my locks on my e30 318is. I knew that I needed a new solenoid(I think thats the correct spelling ) as the central locking was not working properly and i could hear the solenoid creeking, but have not had time to source one. All the locks started off working ok, but the passenger side door pin has now decided that it's not coming back up and is permantly down, you can't even force it up. Due to this the only way of opening the door is from the outside, with the key in the lock, turned as far left as it will go. It's turned just enough so that the door pin moves up by a 2-3mm, thus enabling me to open the door, while keeping the key in the lock still. Phew!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as i have looked at the door and so has my younger brother who also has a 318is, but were clueless .

Many Thanks

Pal
