Alright troops.

Some of you might have spotted another thread where the chance of a visit to the new Henry Brothers facility at Hillington was mooted.

Henry Bros are happy to accomodate us for a look-see at this brand new facility.

Can I have a show of hands for Saturday Morning 6th May? 10am start.

I know many of us have had some issues both in the present and the past with dealer service and BMWCC recognition and I hope this will give us the chance to have a good chat with senior dealer staff. We should hopefully also get their side of the story when it comes to enthusiast owners.

If you're up for this, please post here or get in touch with me direct - it'd be great to get the full breadth of machinery out - from 2002s up to the present day models.

Can a non club member like myself come along?

Will they be doing free diagnostic checks like other 'open days' at BMW dealerships?  My ASC and ABS lights are on!

Andrew - Scottish Region's all about enthusiast participation - be delighted to have you along

So far that's :

Webdunk
bmwcrazy
Z3BMW
Reli328
Gary
Shorty
Allan320
Andrew Rolland
NOISUFNOC

Maybes :

ewan.c

Don't know the exact format at the mo - just asked the Ops Manager for the centre if a visit would be possible and he said yes If anyone's got a copy of the club mag covering other region's dealer visits could they scan it for me and eMail? Then I can send that on to let the dealer know what's been done before.

Cheers,

D

Allan - think Baz is in South Korea. And your directions hit the nail on the head.

Looks like a sensible wee turnout. 10 or so bodies should mean we get a good chance to banter and see what the facility is all about. We can always take more tho so don't forget to let BMW running friends and family know

we could meet at the top end of Makro's car park or at the Burger King just of the first roundabout from the M8 side??

Would have really liked to have attended this.  I've just bought my 2nd car from HB and I've been down to their new facility a couple of times, but never had a proper look about.  Unfortunately, I'm helping run the Z4UM Highlander weekend.  Please take lots of pics!

Posted By: Webdunk

Cheers Jules.

Anyone else fancy this? Remember it's not just about us looking round the facility. It's about introducing the dealer to the car club...

- We've got 10 names which is about half the number of people we normally have at meets.
- Normally half don't turn up for one reason or another so we'll have 5 bodies at the dealer
- not making a strong case for better service / discounts for the BMWCC at all really

Even more sorry I can't make it now.  One of my reasons for joining the club was to get discounts at HB.  I've discussed this with my sales guy and he said they are working with the club to arrange discounts.  I would have liked to have shown my support for this by attending.

Provided I can still walk/drive on Sat morning, I am currently dying from a very sore throat/flu that my fiancée very kindly gave me, I'll see you at BK at 09.45.

I'll be in the unwashed Baritz blue E39.

Andrew

You are a bad person. Shame on you.

Not too sure how long the visit will last... s'pose it depends on how much banter we get going with the H Bros people.

No probs... I would say just look out for the large squad of BMWs but that's prolly a little redundant at a Dealer

Look out for a Z8, M3 GT and M3 Sport Evo... doubt H Bros will have any of those in. We should be round the back car park near the workshop entrances.

Drop me a PM if you want my moby to keep track of us.

Course you can. We'll tell the dealer it was a limited edition BMW and see how good their observations skills are

Have a good day guys, wish I was home to attend this. Should be interesting to see how they deal with the club. May just be worth me renewing my membership after 4 years away (no BMW) if you get a good reception.

Just back from the henry bros visit and I'm sure everyone else in attendance will agree that it was a great experience. Highly informative.

This was my first BMWCC meet, really enjoyed it and looking forward to Moffat. Cheers for the banter and a good day

Just back in from claying the car.

Was a great day today at Henry Bros. Was made to feel really welcome and they had plenty to say.
Was that about 2 hours?

Cheers for the run in ///M3 Gary
Very much appreciated

Good turnout today for what turned out to be a very informative look around the new Henry Bros Facilities,  Very keen to make inroads with the club and keep in touch with the enthusiast drivers.

Interesting to hear that they also were surprised by the recent Arnold Clark acquisition.

Looks like we may finally have a dealer on our side on the west coast.
