Thanks for the input from everyone over the last 2 weeks after the 520 was written off.

Deal done today and deposit paid for a 1998 535i. Nice car, can't wait to get her at the weekend.

Photos to follow......if I can get my rear end out of the leccy heated seats!!!!

I'm particularly smitten with the 16" Alpina alloys (I think they're called turbines!!! ) and the very very retro-cool coloured indicators (amber).

Shopping list being compiled as I type..............though not celis this time.

Congratulations on the new motor - and a very good price for the
mileage and service history.   One query - I thought the V8 E39 came
on 17" rims as standard?    The alpina rims are very nice, though!

Waiting for piccies.

Nice one John, V8 hey, excellent. Looking forward to some good pics. Not had time to look for the little sensor yet, been on shift for a few days, killer these 12hr jobbies, too knackered when I get home to even turn on the PC sometimes. If I find one at a good price I'll let you know, cheers Steve.

Vast majority I was looking at seemed to be on 15s or 16s til tail end of 1998. Anything after Nov 98 seemed to have 17" star alloys or radials-might have something to do with this was the time the 535 sport was launched.

Might be picking up today but in all probability it'll be tomorrow-can't wait.

You all sure you want photos???? Ambers and horrible turbines?? However turbines staying for minute as its got 4 recently new tyres. When it comes time to change then I reckon an upgrade to 17" Alpina reps wil be on the cards-though theres a guy near me got a set of 5 Msport tuning-fork alloys up on ebay at the minute.

AAAhhhhh but the 5 series forum was DEAD; so I thought I'd jump the gun.

Pictures to come when I've got it, hopefully tomorrow now!

In the meantime I could show you the spanking Astra I've had for 2 and 1/2 weeks???
