Dear me, if its not one thing its another.
After locking myself out of my car for a couple of days,(flat battery) I managed to get in (thanks to u lovely poeple!) Charge the battery and all was well, went for a lengthy spin and then... no fuel gauge readout, no econ meter readout and no display on the bottom of the console. Checked and cleaned all the fuses and relays under the bonnet and rear seat but to no avail any ideas guys?

I had a similar set of electrical problems and they were all solved by just one simple thing - a new battery !!

For some reason BM's seem to be particularly sensitive to battery condition.

Even if your car starts ok, I'll bet it's battery problems.
