I have a 320i that I bought for track days. The suspension is effectively shot, needs new springs, shocks, bushes, yadda, yadda, yadda...

Given that I don't want to spend a fortune, what should I buy? There seem to be loads of different things on offer, but which are good and which are rubbish?

G max, handles very well, doesnt make the ride jittery, cheap..... perfect! I assume you dont want to go the coilover route???

Koni Adjustables! The only way to go if you don't want coilovers, stiffen them up for track days and dampen then down for normal driving.  I have then on my 320i and i hav no complaints what so ever.

Your bushes will need to be replaced and if you do it yourself It shouldn't cost mroe than about £60 + VAT.

I opted for front struts from a 325i sport and Bilstein dampers with 40mm lowering springs, also added a 325i rear anti roll bar. The car handles superbly now and the set up cost me just under £200.

Pulling these parts (new springs will obvioulsy be needed) from a scrapyard and checking the integrity of the dampers before you assemble the suspension will save more money.

If you want to really save, get a set of lowering springs (-35mm/40mm Boge) from GSF and their sports dampers. This won't sort out your worn bushes although it will improve your handling.

Good Luck,
