I have a 740i that has a motorola phone kit fitted. Is there any way I can make this phone usable with my own mobile?.
At the moment the phone just bleeps when you start the engine. It displays cellnet and seems to work but when yo dial a number it says you have no calling credit. I do not want to put credit onto it and end up with 2 mobile numbers (i is plenty) but it would be useful to be able to change the network to vodaphone and the number to mine so I dont have to use the mobil hands free which is terrible.

If there is no way of doing this does anyone want to buy the phone?

Cheers in advance

Simon

Ask your phone supplier, I know from asking mine that I can put my "virgin" simms card into different phones on different networks and keep the same number, but apparently it takes a couple of weeks to swap over, this is probably to deter you from doing it !!

You can get the phone unlocked at any old car boot sale normally or down a market, then you can put your vodafone sim card into it to use the handsfree kit.
