Hi

Will smoked rear clusters pass an MOT or do you need to fit additional rear reflectors - just bought some from Germany but not sure if they are legal without reflectors

thanks

I suspect you will need a seperate reflector. Some MOT places dont mind though

I sell car lighting on e-bay, and have a stack of sticky back reflectors if needed.

I have the MHW smoked on mine, and have never had a problem with MOT, that said, I can't recall the tester ever having tested for reflectors, just a tap of the light to ensure the lights are working with no loose connections, unless you park your on a main road at night, I'd say not to worry about it.

Here's some pics of mine to wet your appetite!

You lazy git!!

It only takes 10 mins, fronts are even easier, add another 2 mins if you have headlamp wash wipe!

Does it matter?

I think they look ****!

Put smoked (and then clear - with silver bulbs before anyone asks ) front indicators on mine - hated them both - back to OEM now.

Anyone want some I've got them somewhere!

Simon, what seats have you fitted?  I've just bought some Recaro Speeds (from an Integra Type R as they are Alcantara) and from the little I can see in the pics they look the same.

How did you mount them?

Apologies for the hijack

Yeah, same seats, Speeds re-trimmed in leather, they came with E30 subframe mounts, to which I had to fit a standard set of E30 runners.

In leather?  Nice!  Mine are the black ITR ones so are Alcantara in the main but with a cloth centre section.  Should be pretty good and more supportive than my standard seats.

Alcantara seats are nice, a friend has them in his type R.

Just had a quick look at mine, and the subframes are proper recaro items, which I fitted to some spare E30 runners.
