My gear knob in my 2001 320i  saloon is a little worse for wear and i am thinking of replacing it with a half aluminium/leather  knob from  MOTORFORCE £45.
Is it an easy job to replace ie just unscrew and change over or is there more to it?
Thanks in advance for any feed back.

I'm sure you just 'pull it off'.  Just watch out you don't whack yourself in the face with it as it comes off!

Yup. Bang the stick in 2nd gear. Short sharp upwards tug on the existing gearknob. Don't clatter yourself in the face. Push new gearknowb on. Job done
