Don't forget all, its the Cheshire Classic car show at Cholmondley Castle near Malpas on Sunday 7th May. The BMW car club NW region will have a club stand there and hopefully lots of members cars on display so come on down for a good day out.  Glad you sorted the badge out. The show should be good and there will be an Autojumble in case you have any other missing bits. We had our biggest turnout of cars for the cholmondeley castle classic car show despite the horrible weather with a large variety of bmws. MNL nice to meet you . Pharoah and his dinner medals!( thanks for the entertainment) Lets hope the next car show isnt as wet! Popeye growing old is mandatory, growing up isnt!!! |

Hi everyone, Great turnout today. Really nice to see some new faces and some lovely cars on display,a real pleasure to see the care and attention given to the cars. Shame about the weather but thats England for you. Nice to meet Marie-Noëlle, glad you found us OK and hope you can make it up to see us again. I am very sorry that I missed you but I seemed to be talking to so many different people and wandering all over the show site that we must not quite have crossed paths. Hopefully I will see you at another meet but don't be shy and next time I will make a point of introducing you to a few people to make you feel at home. Marvellous. I think i spotted ur Blue 318 in the opposite corner to my motor, on my way out. With that many BM's there i was a bit lost. well not quite but u know what i mean. I didn't manage to take any pics - took refuge in the JDC tent thing where my mum was, drinking tea and scoffing on Rocky bars. My brother didn't even manage to get his car past that bridge where they took pics of u going in, they also told my mum they were full, hmmmm they were telling porkies!!! Weather was pants!!!!! I felt like a right miserable cow. Not only that but when i got home my mum took me to one side to tell me that one of my cats had died that morning and they didn't want to ruin my day for me cos my folks said they were pleased that i was going out with the BM club. Hi all, only just dried out, and yes Guy it was me going in the wrong direction on the way home Jane was holding the map upside down that was my fault of course, anyway what a good turn out of cars great to see steve and his crew from Staff`s, with the weather being so bad did`nt get to speak to many people still their will be plenty of other times, for those who dont know me i was the one with egg all down my jeans and trainers (egg caught me by surprise on first bite). First time i have seen an m6 up close and personal definitely ticks all the boxes, did`nt want to get to close to the car though in case i drooled on it, owners dont like that. Anyone going to the Yorkshire cc show at Harewood house on the 18th June, i`m going it`s some where else i can get lost trying to find ------------- I had to see it for my-self or i would never have believed it. |

I came over from North Wales on Sunday but because I'm not in the club (yet?) nobody knew who I was!! My car was in the cheap seats outside, and I left when the weather went bad. Still, could put some names to faces!! Steven, your 318is was nice, and MNL, was the lhd blue saloon yours? Anyway, mine probably would have been shown up as it's not got the nicest paintwork. Also, I liked the e28 Alpina! |

Hi Fozzy, sorry mate if I didn't get to speak to you, if you get the chance to come to a meet or whatever find me and I'll introduce you to people. We are a really friendly bunch and it would have been nice to have a natter. As far as condition of your cars paintwork is concerned thats not the point. We are not judgemental on these things, its just a love of BMW's and driving them thats the point. We all love our cars no matter what, they are our pride and joy and most of us use them as daily drivers which doesn't help as far as keeping them A1 is concerned. I agree the E28 alpina is fantastic as were all the cars. Thanks for the kind words about mine maybe next time you can have a proper look. Pharoah - I have tickets for Harewood - shall i put you down for one???
We are meeting up at Junction 22 M62 8.30am 18/6/06 and driving over in convoy, so you can't get lost this time! We saw a blue cab coming towards us and Cathy said is that Nick and Jane and i said it can't be they left quite a bit before us. Seems as though Jane has gone to the same map reading school as Cathy!!!

MNL- The JEC was right next door to one of the JDC stands, where the JEC tent was, just behind that there were a few more Jags n another tent - my mum's motor was in that little group (Bright Red XJR G reg), my motor was right near the Audi tent next to a Blue conv (the guy who deadlocked his keys in the boot) and an Alpina (mine has got tinted windows and chrome bits and Big 18"s). My folks are members of both the JDC and JEC but they usually go to JDC meets etc, I think the JDC have a bit more going on really, but thats just my opinion. Well people here we go with a few pics. I apologise for the quality of them as sadly by the time I decided to take them the weather had changed for the worse and also my camera is playing up so I will have to invest in a new one.I will post some now and do some more later today so if you don't see your car on the first batch you may be in the second lot. By the close of play over 50 members had come and put their cars on display with a fantastic selection of old and new models. I hope you enjoy looking at the pics. Cheers Steve.

I, and a few of the guys in the E Angular region want to set up a club stand for Snetterton next month but don't know where to go to get things like banner/sign made up and the flags surrounding the cars. Unfortunately I'm no David Bailey but I am going to brush up my photographic skills and buy a better camera.
