Guys,

Building on from my phone call with Chris Wadsley, I will need to know names of people, and numbers of cars who will be coming to Snetterton on 25th June, as at the minute we will be on corum corner on the circuit and if numbers are large enough will need to move up slightly or different part of the circuit. If this proves to be a success as the EA region had its trackday at Cadwell park yesterday and had 56 cars turn up, so could be the tip of the iceberg and more events be organised.

I think Chris Wadsley has one, we can speak to him at the meet as he asked me if we wanted one, I said we wasn't sure as this was the first real event I had organised. The list is getting impressive - there will be between 10-16 tickets available so will be first come first served, probably best way to give to drivers of each car. I'm well looking forward to it.

Will be good to meet you - bbq - suggest bring your own disposable barby or picnic type items as no-one had one and track prices will be quite expensive but it's entirely up to you guys!

BBQ update,

I have managed to get hold of a bbq and can get the sausages/burgers at trade prices. If you are up for me doing this then please let me know by next w/e so I can get the meat ordered for the meet. It would be appreciated if a small contribution of £2.50 towards the cost of the meat/rolls etc from each car. I spoke to Chris and he will be at snetterton for 7.00 am to get the stand ready.

It starts at 10 and on all day, tickets are £12 on the gate. Hopefully the weather will be good and the stand could be rather large.

Lovely Mandy, thought about £2.50 per car, things are looking good, may be an idea to have a word with the club to see about leaflets for next sunday. I'll be ringing Jeff tomorrow to try and chase up the banner as I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

If you ring up the club office, there are lots of leaflets etc, but you could knock something up as well. We could do £2.50 per person that will put some money into a fund for more events like this

Don't worry Darren, mines not show room either, there may be a bit of showing off from some of the others but for me it's bringing BMW owners together and having fun, which it's how it should be, and its the chance to get the region started up again as it's far too quiet. Congrats on the new job darren. I've just bought the meguiars polishing kit so she's being treated to a polish for the first time in possibly a few years

Don't worry about the state of yer car mate, I have curbed on of my wheels - REALLY BAD - and the other 3 have all pitted - due to being sold the car with dodgey, repaired wheels in the first place....and don't even get me started on the state of the M5's bonnet...but we still love em just the same...!!!!

Let's hope this weather sorts us out a fabbo day too  (me with sunburn)

You can park with us on the club stand - thats why we asked you all to join us. You can polish your car if you like, the only reason I'm doing mine as it hasn't had one for a few years and the shiny new painted bonnet stands out with a duller rest of car

I'm rather looking forward to next sunday, there is definately quite a lot of interest, just wondering what can be organised next as there doesn't really seem to be much happening around here in the coming months. I also would like to get an EA region club stand organised for Gaydon next year as I think we'll be too late to get one for this year.

There are a couple of track evenings at Snetterton in July, I shall be attending both hopefully.

You could always arrange a mini meet at the same time??

I'll be there for 8.30ish to get bbq ready etc, then will meet all at entrance to cct for 9.30 members bring cards for proof to get freebie tickets, which will be first come first served basis. There are a few formulas on as well so will be a full days racing.

Yes darren, the card you got from the BMWCC(GB) with your membership No on etc, just so there's no squit over tickets. Hopefully we can all have a good chin wag together and get some events sorted out all over the region so that not one section is always travelling and spread it out. There will definately be 12-15 tickets but could be more, will be ringing Trevor Ford tomorrow to find out but may not get concrete numbers until saturday. Will post everything I hear on the forum when I know.

Spoke to Jeff last night, there never was a banner after he dug around, but he's getting one made up for us for future events. And if we want a region stand at Gaydon, just give him a bell and let him know and it will be done. If you can get an article written up after Sunday fairly quickly and I get the photo's posted online email Jeff and he'll get it in next months mag

Definately at least 15 available, there maybe 1 or 2 more available when he goes round the teams on Saturday. He will give the tickets to Chris Wadsley on sunday morning and I'll retrieve them off him and meet you all near the entrance to issue them out.
