Hiya Marie-Noëlle

I've seen photos of it but I'm not too sure if I like it.  I do like the 3 door though.

I know what you mean Ian.  I've had mine a few months now and it still looks good.  I have to say that opinion is divided on it, a guy at work saw mine and went out and bought one.  Other people say it looks wierd.  I love it.

I have to say the 1 series shape has grown on me since it was launched. If I was getting rid of the E30, and in the market for a new car, think a new 1 series would be on my shopping list

I test drove a Cooper S back to back with a 120d Sport.  I wouldn't have one, it was uncomfortable, felt like it didn't have any suspension and wasn't all that quick.  The fuel consumption, apparantly is horrendous.  That's only my opinion, others absolutely love them.

I must say that at last Sundays dealer visit my favourite drive was the 130i M.Sport.  Plenty of power, great handing, the steering and brakes felt really good, lovely driving position. It was a 4 door model with just about enough room to suit my lifestyle. It was a car I definitely could live with everyday. Most impressed with it. When they have been out a bit longer and come down to my price bracket I wouldn't hesitate in considering one for my next car. Did go out in a Cooper S convertible. Went OK but wasn't keen.

Hi Rob.   We just got back from a 650 mile 3 days trip round the North and West coast as far down as Glencoe.  It seems to have settled down nicely and there's a big difference in the power.  On the mountains the torque was amazing and I averaged in the high 40s mpg, and I'm far from gentle with the car.  I just noticed that it's doing a shade over 2000rpm at 80mph in 6th, which my 320d never did.  It likely did that before but I just never noticed, the more miles I put on it the better it gets.  All in all I'm well chuffed with the job Phil did.  How's yours?

Good news on your car Gordie

2k rpm at 80mph in 6th gear! excellent for motorway (Autobahn) driving.

Mine TBH hasn't had a good run for a week or so, but that'll change this weekend. Otherwise I'm very happy with it, no more flat spots  which is the primary reason for getting the remap done. Thanks Phil

Just need to run her about more and burn some tankfulls of fuel to get the longterm fuel results.

I've done about 1000 miles in mine and it has improved a fair bit, so I would imagine yours will do the same. I'm really pleased with the whole package though.  I'll be putting on a few more miles next weekend when we go to Kinloch Rannoch for a Murder Mystery Weekend.  Yes, that's right a Murder Mystery Weekend...we know how to party in the Bannerman household.
