I have bought a set of original shocks from BMW to go on my 88 E30 325i sport. I am considering replacing the springs at the same time. I don't want to lower the car if I can help it or at least a minimal drop, can anyone recommend a spring that might be good?? Finally, ideas for a front disc & pad set up?

Im stickler for using genuine bits when it comes to brakes, But if go to gsf ask for oe pads textar or ate and zimmerman or brembo discs there ok. If you want to uprate your springs a bit only one chose eibach best on the market.

Thanks mate, I forgot to mention that I intend to do the odd track day, so I wonder if the standard set-up is up for the job?

No they wouldn't, use zimmerman cross drilled discs or brembo grooved discs and green stuff pads. I track mt mk2 golf and use that set up no probs, Also used them pads in clio 172 cup we track also. can get all these from GSF.
