I have recently bought a 118i and there is warning triangle symbol next to the mileage which I assume is a service indicator. However the car was main dealer service stamped at the end of last year. Is the triangle symbol the service warning and is it possible to reset with a series of button pushes?

Also I can't get the spare key to work - do I need to use it in the ignition to recharge it?

Many thanks

I'm not sure about the symbol but I change my key over ever month or so to keep the battery charged.  I don't think I need to but it's a kind of habit now.
