Hi - my 328i touring is going in the dealer for an oil service on Fri. The lights have recently started to refuse to come on to dipped lights immediately the switch is turned and it will take a couple of goes to get them on(side lights come on fine). Is this a matter of a new switch or has anyone any experience of this happening before? Don't want to ask the dealer to investigate and get charged .8 of an hour or anything similar.
Also the diveshaft sheared last week (first time the car let me down in 96,600 miles) and I used a new mechanic to get it sorted. He came recommended and had the car back on the road inside a day. He charged £180 for the part + £90 labour + VAT - is this about the right money?
