Both of my front wings have been treated like AndyS Red Motorsport and are perfect aside from rust starting to show itself at the bottom of the front arches and it spoiles my car.

So i really dont think i need new front wings just yet.

I did get a quote form a Merc bodyshop called ROAD AND RACE a very posh setup.

To do the rust cut out old put in new metel, respray lower valance are you waiting for it £2500 lol.

Its mad i know but he said he would have to respray the whole car nearly to blend in the new paint from the wings and the paint alone would cost £600 well i nearly died.

I have had quotes of £400 just to make it look good but that now what i want.

So if anybody could give me some idea as to what i should pay to get a good job done.

TAKE OUT OLD RUST ITS ONLY MINOR/ MAKE UP NEW SECTION FIT AND RUSTPROOF.

SPRAY FRONT VALANCE/AND BACK BUMPER AS THERE IS A FEW BILSTERS.

I am based in Manchester but i dont mind traveling with in reason to a suitable bodyshop.

I only use my 6 on the weekends so length of time to do the job not important.

Can anybody help as its not a nice feeling knowing work has to be done asap, before the tin worm gets a real hold and i dont know where to start.

Cheers Ps Andy where did you get yours done and how much it would give me a rough idea.

I got both wings done (cut out and fit new metal) and had some front end bits and bobs painted for £400 trade and this was a GOOD job.

I should think you'd get that done reasonably nicely for under a grand.

They can cut the metal out without removing the wings. The sealant they have on there from the factory can make it into a reet pig of a job to remove the wings without damaging them (most cars' wings have some sort of sealent) So if you were quoted to have the wings off then repaired then re fitted then painted by a top notch bodyshop then it's about right.

If your existing paintwork (on the rest of the car) is good then you should get away with blending maybe into the rear wings or possibly the doors. All depends on how far you want to go.

Hope this helps
