Hi,

I am currently putting all the finishing touches to my Alpina Conversion E36. I am looking for the "B3 3.0" badge for the boot lid.

Does anyone know where I could find one?

Thanks

ebay probably, or you could try and get a b3 owner to order the badge for you from sytner (they won't sell them unless you can prove ownership of a genuine car)

Are there any B3 owners out there who would be willing to help me out?

I know if you own a genuine one you probably don't approve of replica's but I can assure that mine is no chavy example it regularly fools people into thinking its a real alpina, only BMW experts notice the difference as the B3 badge is not present. I just want to put the final finishing touch to it.

Thanks

Noooooooooooo.  I can't believe you want to do that!  Fair enough having Alpina parts on your car but actually putting the badge from another model on it?  Please just leave it debadged or have Alpina and your original badge at least.  Why lie?

Sorry, something I feel very strongly about.

I tend to agree.  Even though it may not be Chavvy it's still purporting to be something it isn't.  I couldn't put a 535i badge on the back of my 528i, even though no-one would know any different if I did.  It would be just plain wrong.

I have to admit that part of me was tempted to put an Alpina badge on my old 328i after I upgraded the suspension to Alpina, but I would have left the 328i on the back, and certainly not put a B3 badge on it.

I've got a B3 which was originally specified de-badged.  It now has the badges which I find a tad strange!

I have to say though that I am morally opposed to non-Alpinas bearing the badge....
