Subject: Karting in MONDELLO

I've just been onto James at Mondello about the karting. The cost is €75 each. It starts at 12:00 and lasts for 3-4 hours. They don't do it every weekend because of racing etc. The next dates are the ones in the poll. If we get 30 or more they will do it for €65 each for the BMW Club. Hurry hurry hurry.

p.s. 15 of us had a great time at Kylemore on Saturday. EVERYONE is invited and I hope some of you guys from down the country can make it to this one. They can take plenty of us so the more the merrier. You are welcome to bring some friends like last time if you want.

Hey Alex... I've voted for the 3rd Sept but its kind of provisional at the moment... I've a christening on the Saturday... possibly a wedding on the Sunday, not sure yet though.

Should be able to get a few others also for it.... the four that were with me on Saturday more than likely would be up for it again.

It'd have to be September for me.  Do they operate a handicap system (ie, one driver is 6 stone heavier than the others, so his cart won't go as fast...)??

Not really. They say they're twin engined and go very fast, but the track is huge so they might seem a bit slow. Should be good close racing like at Kylemore. You should have come.

Yes it's too late to cancel. Don't worry about Kin. The karts run slick tyres so he'll get stuck on the grass.

I think 50 or 60 is the max number. If we can get 30 or more we get the discount.

I think it will be starting at about 12. That should give everyone time to get there. Lasts for 3-4 hours. Anyone know any good pubs in Naas that do food and (soft) drinks for afterwards?

So that is why the car was leaning toward the passener side so much. So the whole incident was cause by Dave's hiny and has nothing to do with my lack of ability to drive. I understand now.

We'll have to start vetting passengers before going out? Maybe thats how Brian could hang the back end out so well coming into Dunlop. My "slim phisique" was helping to "alter" the charateristics of the car in the corner.

Not sure. What age is he? Don't want any dead bodies on the track.

NOT A CLUB EVENT.

Bring a helmet if you have one. They will be supplied otherwise. We all race together. The better you are the further you'll go. Luck has a lot to do with it as well.

Just to confirm date, time and price.....what are they?

This is going to sound dumb, but I'm assuming that Mondello are supplying the karts (just making sure, as I've never seen a kart in Mondello!).

Yeah they have their own Karts, we don't drive on the normal track we do out trackdays on, it is in another part where they do their training courses.

It is great fun off the link everyone bops down to a tight man made chicane with tyres(no overtaking) and then into a long right hander. Loads of long sweping turns coupled with a few tight hair pins. it was damp the last time i did it and everyone was braking too late and skiding.
