Hi Everyone, a newbie here

Just been quoted £45's to have a Remote programmed at a local BMW Dealer. I got 2 x Remotes with my E36 that I purchased this week. One didn't work so stuck in a new Battery, which did not cure the problem.

QUESTION: Does anyone know a cheaper way of getting my remote programmed??

Thanks, M.

I know you can code the all in one keys for later models yourself, 2 minute job, not sure about the separate remote fobs.

How about following the instructions here:-

May 04's the one you want!

thanks scarface and especially thanks to bmw325tds: I have printed the PDF after following your link and it looks bang-on!!

I have a good remote at the moment, but when I get round to trying this procedure I will post back and let you know how it goes.

Thanks again, M.
