hmmmm......
But November? Might leave it to the very last and if there is still a place left and the weather forecast is promising....

Any idea how many places there are? I'd fancy going but won't if the weather is going to be very bad. It'll cost me a fortune just to get there so it would have to be worth it.

Looks interesting, but will have to wait until nearer the time before being able to make a decision. I assume it is the Indy circuit?

Cheers

Obviously weather will be an issue but that's a chance you take.

You would need to phone the contact number given on website I've linked to, for places available.

It will be the Indie circuit for that price.

We will probably wait till October to book but will be nice to go as it is also my 40th birthday on that day

Just wondering how many of you guys have booked this now. Seems to be popular with the local independants such as bexley's and ETA  taking cars up there. Booked mine last week. cant wait

I`m going to bring my garage queen out for this one as it`s just up the road.
Only had one day out in it this year and that was at Brands also,so I shouldn`t get lost.

Ian
Speak to ALEX at Brands and see how he is getting on for spaces, they tend to book up quicker as it gets closer to the date, but it would be great to see you and the car there 0870 850 5014 you could book and then sell the space on here if the car doesn't make it !, of interest to you Ian i popped in there yesterday and there was 7 RS200'S on track .

Anyway, after Brands Hatch a number of us are going to a curry house in Coulsdon (near Croydon, just off junction 7/8 of the M25).

Anybody interested then PM me.

Just been looking at the old Palma-Luton Easyjet bus. It seems a shame to miss this. I may come over and try to get a few passenger rides in the name of research, before I start taking the car apart, again!

Jon,

Take all three if you have sufficient rims. I`m only going to take the R - roadtyres and slicks. If`s it really wet then may spend time drinking tea.

There will be a lot of cars and drivers we all don`t know, or usally see on the regular trackdays, so hope there will be a good standard of driving, and not to many chav`s with ego`s who all think they are in a race.

If wet, I`m going to take it slow, and by that I mean, watch everybody else trying to be hero`s on the first laps  from the pit lane whilst they dry up the track, spin off, and carry on. From there a few gentle laps having a look around, picking up braking markers and lines and slowly wind the wick up till I can travel around within my limits.

If I pass people good, if people pass me good as well, because I would have moved over to let them, and I think this will be  our main problem on the day that, slower cars will not move over and will try to stay ahead, untill the over the next few corner`s they have an off and everybody ends back in the pits.

Bottom line is if the car behind  is faster, indicate, move over, back-off the gas, and let him go. This way we will all enjoy the tracktime available, and take our cars home in one piece. Reason for the sermon I have read on a forum  how some intend to buy a scrapper for the day. If thats the attitude, imagine the driving ???????

Hopefully we will all have a good  safe day out and we all bring our toys home in one piece, and enjoy the company.

See you all on Thursday,

Regards,

Dave

Dave,

Wise words, I share your concerns I had a wasted day at Mallory a few years ago because the track was closed to recover cars that had left the black stuff when it went to open pit lane in the afternoon. I don't think I get a full lap in.

We have some element of control by not getting dragged into a "race" but backing off and if the standard of driving by some is very poor then getting the MSV folks to "have a word".

Based on the wording of their website I hope MSV will marshal it tightly, it is my first time at Brands so have no experience of their approach.

Roll on Thursday.
