Guys and girls,

Whilst having a rather boring day at work was thinking about events we can possibly do for the EA region next year as we seem to be a bunch of petrolheads! Obviously we don't know the dates yet, but am gathering opinions from you:

BTCC - Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park and Snetterton rounds
BMW Kumho C/ship - as BTCC
WTCC - Brands hatch
F1 GP - Silverstone (8th July)
DTM - Brands hatch

Obviously if we are trampling on the toes of neighbouring regions then I don't mean to, but we could combine club stands for them, I know myself and Mandy are frustrated at there not being many events this year. Could make for a busy summer 2007

We now know the f1 GP is a no-go but we do also have the BMW weekend at Billing Aquadrome in July and also the Santa pod ultimate BMW day 22nd september (with the central region) and the tuner GP (if it's at snetterton) which was just after Gaydon last year and also Stoneleigh in August, Central Regions party in the park as well. All ideas and opinions will be appreciated

Also after coming off the phone to Chris Wadsley, we could also trundle up to Donington Park for the BTCC/Kumho c/ship as he knows the MD there and could get us a good site, and the EA region BDD at Cadwell Park is scheduled for 17th May next year where we can just spectate in the clubhouse or partcipate on the track. More details to follow...

Paul, could I suggest that you also consider none motoring or motorsport related events. Some of the most successful and best attended events we have held up here in the NW region have been things like our visit to the Science and Technology museum in Manchester followed by an all you can eat Chinese Buffet. Well attended, very interesting and loads of fun and something that all the family could and did enjoy.

Just a thought mate,  Cheers  Steve.

Yes steve, we will do the same also. Thats why I've put an sos in the club mag for next month, a lot of us here love the motorsport theme thats why we've gone that route. That's why I've also asked for peoples suggestions as they know more about what things go on in the region more than I do, but if no-one gives us any feedback then how do we know what to set up. I await responses...

Thanks mate! We need all the help we can get to get next year better and I just hope people will ring us and make their suggestions and lets get this region on track - is there anything down your way family oriented that we could organise a day out with perhaps a club stand there?

The dates I can find for next year are:

BTCC-

Brands Hatch - 1st April and 19th August (may clash with Gaydon 2007)
Rockingham - 22nd April
Donington Pk - 15th July
Snetterton - 29th July

BMW Kumho Championship

Brands Hatch - 22nd April
Snetterton - 28th May
Silverstone - 30th September

WTCC

Brands Hatch - 23rd September

DTM

Brands Hatch - 10th June

So there will be plenty of racing for us, will speak to the SE and central region chairmen about joining up with them for the circuits not in our region, so could be enjoyable 2007

Would you guys like me to organise bbq food for these events also as they went down quite well

Have also just found leaked info of dates for the DTM this year and looks like the british round is set for June 10th (subject to circuit inspection) so will be another date to add to the calender.
