The good lady and myself went along to the bash last night at the new servicing facility located on Burnfield Road. And had a good time of it at the expensive of my local BMW dealer. Way I see it is im due a few free beers from them with the labour rates they charge

Anyway dont know if any of you made it along? certainly didnt see any mention on the forums, probably because I feel the evening was more geared towards well-off sorts rather than Car Club enthusiasts, the atmosphere was of the slightly stuffy typical wine and cheese evening variety.

Saying that though im firmly in the enthusiasts bracket and for me its all about the cars, and the displays were stunning.

4 new coupes finished in Space Grey, a royal blue, Titan Silver and black

That being said star of the show for me was the Lemans blue 325 m sport saloon. My favourite colour out of the new range

Worth noting Sir Arnold also made a speech, which from where I was standing was poorly recieved by the Giffnock dealerships customer base. My personal feelings are that he should never have been allowed to have a BMW dealer in his fleet, but being plain rude when the man was talking, just isnt right.

Time will tell wether Sir Arnold will have much of an impact on the Prestigous name of Harry Fairbairn. But to be honest and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this the Fairbairns experience was flawed long before Sir Arnold came along to piss on the parade.

Some of the reception staff are the lowest lifeforms I've come across

The club were invited to Phoenix BMW in Kirkcaldy last Saturday. Meet also doubled up as Show & Shine competition.

Phoenix gave use of facilities to clean the cars, provided food and drinks all day.

The DP (Lyall Reekie) took some of us out for a demonstration drive in a 335 coupe - now that is a car

See here for report of meeting - start about half way down

You can safely remove the words "some", "of" and "reception" from that sentence.
