It only upsets me that BMW couldn't be bothered to set the wipers up for RHD on the E39....other than that....I'd love one.

That really annoyed me as well, until I drove one in the rain. Works fine. And all the water is pushed clear of your view so you don't get a build up on the edge of the screen.

I thought it would really bother me... but they work great!

The R8 looks pretty, but it's wrong wheel drive... suppose you could pop out the two front driveshafts and have a giggle!!!

Have a listen to it here on Autocar - SAVAGE. I'd deffo have one over an M3. Not so sure about the side panel, but I reckon carbon over red paint would be alright..

Although if the budget was there, I'd be VERY tempted by the Alfa 8C. What a glorious looking car inside and out. Very retro compared to the Audi though.

In fairness to Alfas, they are pretty good looking motors..

In todays Irish Times Motoring Supplement:

"This is Audis new R8, spotted outside the Lake Hotel in Killarney last week. The car - not yet for sale - was in Ireland undergoing final suspension testing. It's not the 1st time Ireland has been used by car firms to test new cars. Porsche is a regular visitor to the West of Ireland, particularly Co Mayo, while Lexus has used our roads to improve suspension settings. It seems that for all our complaints about the poor roads, the car firms do appreciate their uneven surfaces."

My Bro was staying in the Lake hotel and has a few photos of that car. He called me up when he spotted the car and said "dude I just saw a audi concept car!" to which I replied "Oh the R8? Old news man... get with the program"
