Hi Guys,
I'm having a problem with my windscreen wash system. When i do a regular wash it seems to be pumping the water back into the intensive was bottle and spilling out the top. If you do an intensive wash, it pumps normally from the intensive bottle but then the bottle fills up again with the normal screenwash....is there a non return valve somewhere? The only place the 2 types of screenwash seem to meet is at the nozzle.
Thanks,
Dave.

Ah Dave, i have this very same problem!!

I have my car booked into the "indy's" on the 23rd so will report back with the finding's.

However if someone has the answer on here it might save me a few ££££'s.

Sorry i can't help you dave, but you are not alone.

I did some digging around in the car. Theres a non return valve on each inlet in the washer nozzle. If you take the complete nozzle off the car and open it carefully you should be able to see them. Or you could be heavy handed like me and open them under the bonnet and lose the little springs

Anyway- a trip to the stealer and a new nozzle and all sorted- £20

Cheers Beast535 a handy tip.

I will be getting my local specialist to change them on my inspection 2 on monday!

I would definately lose the springs!

Just had the 528i service and i also need new washer jets too,so will be giving the local dealer a call to collect some new washer jets.

My local specialist didn't have them in stock.

Just out of interest, was that price for heated one's?

About £25 inc vat each. Theres probably only one faulty one. Disconnect each one in turn and with the bonnet open operate the intensive wash- you'll see the level rise in the intensive wash bottle.

Yeah I think this was my problem to, only my jets were not actually squirting the glass but just sending the warter back down the pipes to the bottle, I changed the jets to new ones and they worked fine.
