Do know how thats much of a clue?  If Fey was born when it first went to number 1, could have been going to school when it got knocked off - it was there for ages

I'm sure I've still got most of these singles in the house somewhere!

It's a brutal time to have a b'day, isn't it!!!  The year I was born, my brother asked for a tractor, a trailer, a digger, a baby, and a bicycle.  The jammy dodger got them all!!!

Well, The charts don't go back far enough for me, sheet music governed the popularity stakes pre-1950!!

Nearest I can get after raiding Wikipedia is Vera Lynn from March 1948 (which still doesn't go back enough) with "You Can't Be True, Dear".  Nearest from USA is Muddy Waters's "I Can't Be Satisfied" from the same year.

Now we are going back a bit!
