At that price it should be a snip. But it could be a replica. Last one I saw on sale was around £45K. I did see one on the Huddersfield ring road last week.

Hmmm - interesting comment Howard - it doesn't look quite right to me either.

And why no internal / engine pictures?

Possibly because that kit on a car like that is highly questionable IMO.

Very odd bodykit. I have never seen an M1 that looked quite so much like a De Tomaso Pantera. Is it a kit car? Weird place to sell it if it is genuine.

I thought that the M1 had drop down doors?

I thought it was a DeLorean in a Ferrari costume!

It's in the wrong section :

Listed in category: Cars, Parts & Vehicles > Car Tuning & Styling > Interior Styling > Floor Mats & Flooring

It's WAY too cheap

There's next to no info

Gotta be a wind-up..?

Can't be right with lack of info and those small pictures. Surely if you were selling a genuine one you'd have loads of photos, history etc. Wanted one ever since I had "performance car" top trumps and the M1 Procar was in there

That sort of vehicle whoever it the owner is, if it is a genuine article, the seller would provide heaps of details along with with more pictures.  I remember the M1 did have different wheels as standard to the ones shown in the picture.  If its is just a bodykit or some special edition (which can't ever recall there being) thsi would also be mentioned naturally.  There would also be a healthy reserve price tag as well.

It doesn't look right and it doesn't sound right therefore it isn't right.

Either a wind up or someone trying to pass off a kit car as genuine.

I agree that there is something very dodgy about the auction, but as for car not being 'right', take a look at this...

Almost identical as far as I can see, even the colouring of the rear wing.

Did the M1 have air con? A bit odd for a car of this type.

It's a hoax!

Look out for a KHG M1 - KHG bought all the parts from BMW and
continued to assemble them but were not allowed to use the BMW badge.
they're still worth shedloads though.

nasty isn't the word!
However, at least it wasn't the other way round where the M1 was converted to look like an MR2!

I've posted this up on a big Irish Forum here, but it does seem unusal that a rare car like that, is living in cookstown, and has a starting bid of £5,000

OMG

Is it just me or does it look nothing like an M1.

Why would anyone want to make their MR2 (which has a bit of credibility) into something that looks like that

You may well ask, but I have seen a Ferrari F50 on ebay for £330,000 advertised by a specialist company who take photo's and do the listing for luxury/high value items, they also vet the bidder before allowing them to bid. I know it's not the same thing, but you do get some amazing things on ebay!

As for this little beauty, I doubt it's a genuine ad, if you look, it says at the top 'bidder withrew item due to incorrect information' It was probably just a 1:18 scale model lol!

Mike
