On my 1990  E32 i have the factory fitted alarm with the box on the drivers front wing with the key off on it, the remote is the oblong one with the corner cut off if you see what i mean
The alarm works the remote central locking OK and the alarm works OK as well, it's just that when you switch it on under the bonnet you get a single note  coming from the alarm box, close the bonnet doors and arm it and it will not shut up, open a door or stick your hand in a window and the alarm goes off like it should, but the alarm will not go quiet.
I was wondering if the fact that the heated rear window does not work and the radio is temperamental could have an effect, even if i could shut up the speaker and leave me with the remote locking i would be happy.
Now the second problem, the drivers electric window does not work, if i put the ignition on i can hear a click from the relays and the interior light dims a bit with the other three windows, but nothing from the drivers, will it be the relay or the switch or the motor do you think, or is it a case of, taking the door card off and checking for power at the motor.
