Hi all,

Can anyone tell me which steering wheel the e30 m3 EVO 2 would have
come with
- the Mtec 1 or Mtec 2.

I have a feeling the MTec 2 was not around when the evo 2's were made
although it is a much nicer wheel

Thanks

Yep, Mtech 1 was the wheel. I swapped mine for the Mtech2 in my wifes 1990 325i Touring (for sale as no longer used) as the grip part feels much better and the wheel is smaller, not like a bus.

As you say , the Mtech2 wasn't made in 1988.

Alcantara - I wish! Its suede and looks tired after a few thousand miles!

mine`s mtech2 and although the car has had a fair few owners, it looks like it could be original and matches the interior wear for wear if that makes sense.Of course it could be 2nd hand from another car, and probably is if indeed Mtech2 was not available back then. It is a UK spec Evo 2
