Probably the only one left.

Such is the owner's fascination with the car, he shouldn't be selling it in the first place....

One other thing: if a young fella buys it subject to the "first refusal" resale agreement, the agreement becomes somewhat invalid if the seller passes away first. And given what I have read about the owner, he's not exactly a spring chicken....

Who says the seller would agree to sell to you in the first place? If you read the article in which the car appears, he comes across as quite a picky person. So if he thinks you won't honour the "first refusal" stipulation, basically you're fecked.

The only candidates I can see realistically and successfully making a pitch for this are:

Ross Harris (but he'll have to sell one of the M6s to make way for this one)

Howard (you know it makes sense)

David R. Cornell (because he'll be selective about using it)

That's basically it. The rest of us can forget it; we're all paupers. Walk away.

Why have you not included me in your list?

Not that I'd really want to buy it. Those blacked out wheels make it look like some council estate boy racers attempt at customising with a can of Halfords satin black.

So it's got 330bhp? I'd want to see verified dyno print outs before I believed that. You of all people know how that reality hurts.

The seller insists on a guaranteed buy-back? Sod that - either he wants to sell it or he doesn't. He's been trying since it appeared in the August edition of BMW Car without much success.

It's got nothing you couldn't add to a normal M635 & it's got 136k+ miles on it although it did get a rebuild some years ago.

There's a lot of store being put in the Hartge badge, after all it isn't a B7 Turbo!

Any way need to sell the 635 first so to have any chance of the Hartge.

Don't I know it.  But I've got one of the oldest cars. And powers fade with age. So will yours eventually.

No it's not, but it is last car remaining of the four that were converted [according to the ad] ....more 'store' being put in that maybe?

I think you need to take a couple of Chill Pills if you're getting lusty over that motor! Have you been at the Viagra?

As you say, some like it & some don't. Both views are valid & both should have equal standing on the forum. I'm not rubbishing your view of the car, I'm just not keen on the Mad-Max-with-iffy-bodykit look that's all. Especially when it's nearly double the going rate!

Andy, it floated my boat, if daft gets like me want to go 'wasting' our money on such overpriced CHAV tat so be it. That leaves more of the pure ones for gentlemen such as yourself, everyones happy non?

For the record, I'd also like an Alpina or two and (don't tell thepits) an E30 M3 oh and a 507.....

But the reality being that the purchase of any one of the above vehicles would likely lead to divorce and the associated financial emasculation that goes with it I'll have to limit myself to lusty outpourings here...

We all cool with that?

There something about the Hartge badged 6 that just doesn't do it for me.  I much prefer the more 'standard' looking example above.

Nice aquisition Ross and a lovely colour too..

BTW did you get free slippers, hat, smoking jacket and a pipe with it? Maybe this is why Derek likes them, who knows...

TBH I do agree with sporty1 on the dechromed look. Had chrome bumpers and trim on my '81 E21 and '87 E30, absolute nightmare to look after...out with the autosol every week...pah!

I'm too long in the tooth to go there again...

The same "paper" figure as the Hartge example: 330bhp

You can of course try and find a "normal" B7 Turbo which has "only" 300 paper bhp.
