what's going on with that front end????

Looks good apart from the obvious.

Edit;  It makes some of the other cars in the model line up look positively beautiful.

Big Ian

I think you do a dis-service to the Ford Anglia

The front end is a disaster

Imagine opening your bonnet & finding your exhaust glowing like this!

Must say, the 1-series convertible looks rather good (as does the 3-door) but then I always liked the look of the 1 anyway.

Yuk, don't like the new 8 at all, some other nice ones in there though, the concept CS looks VERY nice! and the 1 series looks good in 3 door and topless trim. As for the Z9, looks nice too. Not all new beemers are ugly thank god, the 5 definatley grew on me!

Saab Turbo's have been glowing like that for years.. (first manufacturer to shove a tubby on a car IIRC)

Sorry Rhys, have to correct you there, Chevrolet and Oldsmobile were the first passenger cars to have turbo's in the 60' but due to poor reliability they were scrapped. The first sucessful turbocharged mainstream production cars were the Mercedes 300SD and a VW in 1978, both were diesel and it really took off from there, though commercial vehicles were turbo'd before that to try and increase efficiency due to the oil crisis in the early 70's.
