Parked today for 15mins only to discover some moron obviously leaned against the car and had some sort of greasey or sweaty hands and there is a big hand print on the top of rear passenger door and it is across the door onto the roof. (Will post up pics tomorrow) I tried a sponge and some car shampoo but it wouldn't budge it, I have the inkling that solvents might solve it but decided to consult here first.

It looks grubby and reminds me of those passionate paw prints you'd see in films eg. Titanic, I know my car is nice but don't want to give the impression that some pikey was getting her h*le up against it.

Try autogylm super resin polish after a wash with some elbow grease.

Should be ok.

Try the bugs away stuff. You use it for getting rid of squished insects, bird
poo and tar marks. Spray it on and leave for a few minutes and the wash off
with a wet cloth or sponge.

As Alex says above, that should do it.  AG Intensive Tar Remover gets rid of pretty much everything too, but you'll need to redo the panel with polish and wax afterwards because it'll remove anything on the paint except the paint itself!

It's my emergency use stuff.

I find the 'bugs away' leaves it's own kind of wax finish after washing it off
which I don't like. I'll only use it before washing and polishing the car
properly.
