The Three Castles Rally welsh heritage tour, based in Llandudno has finished for another year. Four BMWs competed, three 3.0CSLs and a 2002tii. As yet I'm unaware of the placings of the teams, but there is some bad news to report. On Friday morning, approx 9am, one of the teams in a CSL had a bump on the special stage around the Orme. They sustained significant panel damage down the offside, slid across the narrow mountain road and smacked the back end on the other side of the road, popping the rear windscreen.  Other crew members on the rally informed me that the car was a write off, but I hear the driver was keen to look into a repair. If the owner of the car reads this forum, may I wish them the best of luck with their efforts to keep one of these rare cars on the road. ------------- Beating around the bush. |
