As well as the original disk,I have a genuine BMW new sat nav disk 2007for my 2001 seven series. Unfortunately, the software in sat nav is an early version, which will not read the map info. BMW want £120 + vat to update the Sat nav software, which seems to me to be a lot of money for what takes 10 minutes to do - and I am not sure if the result will be worth the effort. Currently, the BMW sat nav has a rating of 1 on the scale of 1 to 10 when compared with my TomTom. But it is built in to the car. It would not be so bad if the software came with it on cd, but apparently this is not the case. Has anyone got a copy of the update software that I could borrow, which I understand is the last one produced for the CD version, and appears on all disks up to date. Alternatively, is there a service agent who will do it for sensible money within 50 miles of Huddersfield?
