Not sure if this has been asked before but does anyone know of good places to get tyres for a 3 series. I have a 3 series with the m-sport 17" wheels and am considering upgrading to the 18" MV wheels. Is there anywhere that do good prices on either 17" or 18" tyres. What have people paid in the past? |

I have found Kwik Fit in Galway provide a very good
service, very professional. Not sure if they are the cheapest, but you should make sure you get a professional outfit to fit the tyres to your new rims so they are not kerbed. Cheapest may not always be best. ------------- Kevin_1990_318iS |

bridgestone so3's are what I use om my m3. Great all round tyre but need a bit of scrubbing before they start to really work for you.
Have also had micky pilots on a 325 sport. great grip but soft and sticky. ------------- |

I'm finding the part-worn crossply remoulds from Romania I got are enhancing the rear wheel bias of my 5 series no end! Yoko A539s were my tyre of choice for quite a while - however when they let go, they let go big-time! As a consequence I found that while they are great on the front of my first 5 where their enhanced grip overcame what little understeer was there (it really wasn't an issue in the 1st place), they lacked progression on occasion when fitted to the rear, giving me several 'brown trouser' moments i didn't expect in a 518! | The S03 have a threadwear rating of 240 - better than my previous S02's. I'd say they are about average - about 20k with my driving! |

yeah the limmo is something I'd like to have - missed it in Mondello with revs flaring for an age on the inside, and then a quick snap out. IS200s have one as standard, maybe I should buy one of them. | I have Avon ZZ3 on for the last while. There no a bad price. I dont know if I would choose them again. The front end can be a little vague and tend to over steer. I don,t know if this is a trait of the E46 or may be a wider wheel would help, currenlty useing 205/50/17. In general I would like to sharpen up hte front end. Years OK I had a RS2000 with roller top mounted Bilstines shocks and nylon bushing on hte front. It drove like a go cart but you could take almost any line into a corner like on tracks. |

Theres a point....must ckeck it out. Lorcan had a trick hand held pressure gauge, any idea where he got it?
Non the less I would like to try some suspention upgrades. |
