Hi,  I have a problem with the drivers wiper arm slipping on the spindle.  Has anyone else had this?   Its happened twice this year, is my only option to renew the spindle/linkage assy, or is there another fix?   Its on a 1991 535, and has the motor gizmo attached to it.  Thanks

I once used some electricians tape to get a better fit on worn out splines on the spindle i.e. pad it out a bit. It worked ok and had no problems afterwards.

Thanks Ian.   I was thinking along those lines as I have nothing to lose by trying.   The clamp on the arm seems to be fully closed, so I will try cutting back the edges slightly to give it a bit more bite.   Popped into my local specialist for advice, basically a complete new linkage and arms is the complete answer - only 150 quid for the linkage!
