Dunno about everyone else but, I seem to be encountering more problems accessing this forum (whether logged in or not). The most common error is below:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

/includes/pm_Count.asp, line 16

any ideas?

Ditto - seems to sort itself out if you refresh the page?

Is the Database getting a bit bloated and needing compressed?

doesn't the database automatically compress once it reaches a certain size then?

i.e. running a script to perform this action at 3am on a weekday.

(when the forum is very quiet, if not sleeping)

I would imagine that the problem is actually caused by other databases on the database server! Nothing within my control as currently we are on a shared hosting a/c!
I trying to source a decent server and then we will be moving to our own (unlimited) service.
