Folks,

Finally got around to a wee website update - nothing too drastic; just a wee freshen up and the addition of Sponsorship banners from Toby/James at PartsAuction. Also an increase in design width to reflect the stats that most of us are now browsing at higher screen resolutions.

Let me know if I've broken anything or if owt looks wierd on your computers.

Hopefully we'll be adding another sponsor fairly soon in the form of a Scottish BMW dealer. Fingers crossed.

Cheers,

Duncan

I've also been working away at a new way to display event photos. I've tried it out on the http://bmwccscotland.co.uk/meets/2007/august/callander07.htm - Callander Report (I've still to add some more pics to it)

To view a single pic, click on a thumbnail.

Press close or Esc to exit

To view a slide show, click on a thumbnail. Press either left/right arrow or n/p keys for next/previous.

You can also move your mouse over the left/right side of the picture and press on the prev/next.

Press close or Esc to exit

i like the changing pictures at the top, could you make the BMW Car Club - Scotland in a lighter coloured font, it's difficult to read against some photos

oh and if you click on the photo it redirects to http://www.partsauction.co.uk - www.partsauction.co.uk but there is no mention on the page that it will do this - the mouseover says http://www.bmwccscotland.co.uk - www.bmwccscotland.co.uk , is this intentional?

it would be good if you could update the member location and pics of members cars but the new look looks great

looks good

Freshens the site up with the good pics as headers IMO

One thing I noticed though is, the navigation bar under the Scottish BMWCC badge in the '2007 events' section is missing..it appears on all other pages though

Ian, IIRC there was some issues with updating/continuing this which were discussed a while ago but, maybe thoughts have changed on this subject.

Guilty as charged - it's to do with a conflict with Javascripts

There's a Google Map/Tool thingy that you can set up to display exact locations of where your car is - so if anyone wants their car nicked, just post your location (IIRC that's why we stopped doing the website map?)

Good news troops - the website is now wholly self-funding thanks to our generous sponsors :

James and Toby @ http://www.partsauction.co.uk/ - PartsAuction.co.uk

http://www.menziesbmw.co.uk/ - Menzies BMW building on the work Chris from their Parts department has been doing with us on this forum.

Tamar - an advertsing agency who have placed links on particular pages of the site.

Many thanks one and all
