Hi All,

I wonder if someone can help?? I have the above car and have problems. The engine is ok, drives fine, is smooth and quiet but then starts smoking for no apparent reason. I have replaced the engine from like for like and its doing exactly the same? I seen the previous engine running and it was fine, no problems. Could this be something to do with the ECU? I really love my car and dont want to get rid but im at my wits end, the garage that has the car is equally stumped, has anyone ever come across this before? I need all the help i can get here as ive already spent a fortune her. I have 18" MVs, 328 Front and Rear Bumpers, Full Leather etc, its a cool car! Please Help!!

Robert.

What colour is the smoke?

Is the engine using oil?

Is it smoking all the time?

This is the second Engine doing the same thing......

So whats common to both engines. ECU, Sensors, Fueling, Filters, intake system, driver etc.

Have you checked for Intake manafold leaks, correct fueling etc.?

Usually:

White smoke is water from a crack or duff head gasket, blue smoke is oil from worn bores or valve stems, black smoke is over fuelling, grey smoke is brake fluid sucked in from the servo.

The engine is absolutely fine, then just suddenly starts doing this? I know the garage swapped some parts over to make this fit like th esump etc. Il double check what they've done and get back, Thanks all.
