What offset do you need to run 8x17" on the front and 9x17" on the rear of
a E30 M3 that has been lowered by 30 mm?

Top of my head I would say ET20 front and ET24 rear

I'd go for around ET10 front and ET20 rear, but you'll likely need to roll arch lips depending on tyre sizes.

I have ET17 with 8 inch rims all round.
